GRADUATE PROGRAM APPLICATION ANNOUNCEMENT FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

 

This announcement involves the application requirements for Gaziantep University (GAUN) Graduate Programs (Master's and Doctoral) for Fall Semester of 2024/2025 Academic Year. In order to be accepted to Gaziantep University Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences graduate programs, candidates must meet all the conditions specified in the announcement. Candidates who meet the necessary conditions are eligible to apply, but this does not mean that they are accepted. Accepted candidates are announced after the relevant jury evaluation is completed.

 

Applications for the 2024-2025 Academic Year Fall Semester will only be made online. For application, candidates must upload the documents listed below to the system. All communications during the application and evaluation processes before registration will be online only. All documents must be submitted with an official English or Turkish translation (unless the original language of the document is English or Turkish). If candidates are accepted as students, they must submit their original documents to the Graduate School in person or by mail on the dates specified by the Graduate School for registration.

All documents uploaded to the system will be subject to verification. If any document cannot be verified by the Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences, the application/acceptance may be cancelled.

 

MASTER'S DEGREE PROGRAMS

Candidates who want to apply for a master's degree program must have a bachelor's degree from a University recognized by the Turkish Council of Higher Education (YÖK) (Click for detailed information).

• Passport (valid, relevant pages only)

• Undergraduate graduation certificate

• Undergraduate transcript

• English Language Exam Score – If the teaching language of the applied program is English

• Turkish Language Exam Score (TÖMER) – If the teaching language of the applied program is Turkish

Optional documents

• ALES, GRE, GMAT Exam Score

• References

• Supervisor Preference form

 

DOCTORAL PROGRAMS

Candidates who want to apply to doctoral programs must have received a bachelor's degree and a thesis master's degree from a University recognized by the Turkish Council of Higher Education (YÖK) (Click for detailed information).

Mandatory documents (in pdf format)

• Passport (valid, relevant pages only)

• Master's degree graduation certificate

• Graduate transcript

• Bachelor's degree graduation certificate

• Undergraduate degree transcript

• English Language Exam Score

• Turkish Language Exam Score (TÖMER) – If the language of instruction of the applied program is Turkish

Optional documents

• ALES, GRE, GMAT Exam Score

• Reference Letter (2, at least one of which is from an academic source)

• Supervisor Preference form

If candidates are accepted as students, they must submit their original documents to the Graduate School in person or by mail on the dates specified by the Graduate School for registration.

 

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICATION

No documents other than the English or Turkish Language Exams given in the Table below will be accepted. For TOEFL IBT Scores, documents with C878 "Institution (DI) Code" are preferred.

Master's Programs taught in English

Candidates applying for master's degree programs are exempt from the English Language proficiency certificate, provided that they graduated from a program that provides education in English (100%) in Türkiye. It is sufficient for these candidates to upload their undergraduate transcripts to the online application system as proof of language proficiency.

For candidates who do not have an English Proficiency Certificate, the exam will be held in person by Gaziantep University SFL (YDYO) on September 3, 2024 at 10:00.

 

Master's Programs taught in Turkish

Candidates applying for master's degree programs are exempt from the Turkish Language proficiency certificate, provided that they graduated from a program that provides education in Turkish in Türkiye. These candidates simply upload their undergraduate transcripts to the online application system as proof of language proficiency.

For candidates who do not have a Turkish Proficiency Certificate, the exam will be held face-to-face by Gaziantep University TÖMER on September 4, 2024 at 10:00.

 

REGISTRATION

International students will only register online. For online registration, the steps on the Application page must be followed. The calendar for application, acceptance and registration procedures is presented in the table below.

Online registrations can be made on the registration page between September 18 and September 23, 2024.

Important: The originals of the documents used for the application must be delivered to the Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences in person or directly by mail. Candidates who are accepted as students, if not graduated from a University in Türkiye, must submit a document comfirming that the University is recognized by the Turkish Council of Higher Education (YÖK) before September 23, 2024, to the Graduate School in person or by mail.
